This Minervois has the sun-filled and spicy personality of the Mediterranean Syrah in harmony with the softness from the old Grenache and the intense Carignan. It is fragrant and sumptuous on the nose with bitter-sweet cassis, juniper, dark chocolate, lavender, and smoked meat, complemented by well integrated ripe cherry fruit and herbs.

Fruit selected for this wine came from the areas of Les Mourels and Les Coteaux which extends from Caunes to Aignes. The blend is completed with wines from vineyards in Pepieux.
Gregory Hecht and Francois Bannier created their business Hecht & Bannier in 2001. Their aim was to differentiate themselves from other wine producers by offering a unique range. Hecht and Bannier’s expertise is focused on the Languedoc and Roussillon region and they believe their wines allow wine-lovers to discover the extraordinary quality and wealth of their region. The cornerstone of their profession is their extensive knowledge of vineyards and cellars. Every year they visit hundreds of producers to select only the best wines. Often, their wines come from vineyards in the cooler foothills where it isn’t rare to see hundred-year-old vines. Once the long selection process has come to an end, they organize tastings to create the blends and decide on their options.
Conserving the typical Mediterranean strength in their wines while preserving balance and crispness, is their mantra for all the appellations they produce. Each wine bottle is fully representative of the region and terroir, serving as the benchmark that other wines are measured against.
