Lemon-lime flavors show over some light honey and pumice notes on the nose. This has an easy palate of citrus and green pepper notes. The acidity takes over shortly after and holds for a good amount of time in the finish.

Volnay, vineyards classified in Bourgogne Rouge.
The grapes for this sparkling wine are picked very early compared to the other wines. They are pressed straight away and there is no skin contact so a white wine can be made from red wine grapes. Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless tanks with indigenous yeasts. Bottled for 12 months before release. Dosage 6g/l。
Domaine Huber-Verdereau was founded by Thiebault Huber in 1994, but originates from the 19th century, when the Verdereau family began to grow wine on their estate in Volnay.
Thiebault’s grandfather, Raoul Verdereau, developed the estate from 1928 to 1976, before sharing his properties between his two daughters. Thiebault’s parents, Monsieur and Madame Huber, inherited about three hectares, which they rented out until 1994, being neither winegrowers nor living in Burgundy. Their son, Thiebault Huber, the present manager, studied hotel business and the art of being a sommelier at the famous Hotel Catering School in Strasbourg.
In 1990, he chose to take over the family estate, with his cousin, grower Jean-Marc Bouley, after training for three years at the Wine School of Beaune. He established Domaine Huber-Verdereau, with the first harvest in 1994.
